Cool Olallie Lake Snow Run!! Jan. 20, 2018

    When: January 20, 2018 - Saturday.
    Meet Spot: 220 D St, Detroit, OR 97342 -
    Mountain High Grocery
We will congregate at the market and across the street. There is gas availible a little down the road.

Time is around 9:00am leave by 9:15 or so.

    Permits Required: OHV
    Communication: CB.
Vehicle requirements: ^^EVENT RULES AND REQUIRED ITEMS^^... tow/snatch straps, water, food... and warm clothes!!! recovery points a must!! If you don't have them please pass on this run. If you don't have a winch then you must have a Shovel!! Not that we wont winch you out, but you will get some good exercise before we do!

Last year we made it only a few miles outside of Detroit, man it was deep and soft.
    Hopefully further this time!!
If you have a saw bring it, we used a few as well.

There is no best vehicle. It depends on the terrain, tires, driver, luck, and lots of happenstance.

No lift and 65% of the under body has slid plates. The thing turns into a sled in the snow lol. It just goes up on top of the snow and high centers all the time.

I'm excited to see what my new (since last winter) tires can do in the snow, but I have other traveling in Jan to work around.

I may have a new fun rig by then that would be fun to try in the snow. Count me in!
Living in the wrong state driving the wrong truck, with the wrong tires containing the wrong amount of air pressure. The wrong bumper holding the wrong winch and using the wrong recovery equipment the wrong way. The wrong lights. The wrong jack. The wrong tent. The wrong sleeping bag. The wrong stove and the wrong cooler. Still having a great time!

I could be in for that. Little far out to commit for sure but we had a blast getting stuck last time. I'll be in the Fundra and Connor will be back in the "Jungle Jim" Cherokee if he ever gets around to the Axle swap and 35's
