Cool February 10, 2018 | Washington | Tahuya OHV Park!

    IMG_2627.jpg

I can't believe it's been 5 years since visiting Tahuya! This is a fun place to enjoy some 4WD time. There are some obstacles and rocks to play on as well. However, it isn't overly demanding for vehicles. You could have fun with a bit of lift (clearance) and tires (wet slippery). For those wanting to tempt fate there are some deep water holes to bathe in.

Post if you'd be interested in camping as well. I'd be game to camp Friday/Saturday night.

That's a little far for me and I'd like to avoid deep water. I had enough of that at La Dee Flats recently.

Yeah. I avoid the water too. More fun watching people sink their rigs. But the rocks are entertaining.

Local Knowledge check in here for ya:

Park has changed to make it more challenging.
Large puddles are still there as is the tree stump that someone always hits.
    Yellowjacket is still there.
Newer SAS worthy grade at far northerly spot.
The "whoops" section is gone, replaced multi surface section.
New roads/trails are being created to connect sections together.

    Resent carnage reports:
2/3/18 - hydrolocked Tacoma not in the main puddles.
11/17 - Tacoma versus hidden stump in puddle.
02/17 - Tacoma versus hidden stump in puddle = reseated tire with lighter fluid.

    Have fun!

Thanks Ben916! Yeah, I'll be avoiding the water. No desire for mud or water. Makes a mess.

Avoiding the water will be a challenge as but if you avoid the three large puddles, you should be fine.
Speed seems to be the overwhelming factor.
