06-29-19 Oregon l Tillamook State Forest & Camping

Run some tails, then camp on Saturday night in the usual spot in the Trask.

    When: Saturday June 29th
Meeting Time: 10:00 am, driver's meeting, air down & roll out by 10:15 am
Where to Meet: Rogers Camp staging area (45.622630, -123.375621) - just off Hwy 6 to the left

    Permits Required: Oregon OHV

Communication: CB 22 or HAM 146.460

Vehicle requirements: Some lift recommended, Traction tires, recovery points front and rear with knowledge of where they are and how to use them. Jack w/ full size spare. Please read the TSF OHV Guide for info on vehicle requirements and recommended safety equipment and the "Rules for Event Participation" in the Yellow link above.

Not all trails accessible by full size rigs (unless you are not very concerned about damage...like Andrew). If you're worried about dents or scratches, this may not be the place for you. :-)

Trail Plan: We will be wheeling on Saturday until about 3 pm and then heading south into the Trask for camping. On Sunday we will have a leisurely morning and head home. Maybe hitting a trail or doing some shooting.

    Participants for Wheeling
    Rodney - Wrangler LJ
    Adam - Cherokee XJ
    Vinnie - Wrangler LJ
    David - Wrangler JKU

    Participants for Camping
    Rodney
    Adam - (Kids/family TBD)
    David & son

The regular Camping site is here: 45.465328, -123.469636 If that spot is taken and we will be within 1 mile to the east or west on the north side of the river.

I'm in for wheeling and camping! May or may not have kids in tow.

This time I mean it for real. I'm in. Probably not in for camping though.

Still annoyed I missed the meet and greet because I was stuck while traveling.

Excellent! I'm thinking of a slightly later start than usual. How about we meet at 10 a.m. at Rogers camp? We could run some Trails until about 3 and then head towards the Campsite in the Trask.

Thanks! You caught my copy and paste error from the last trip to the trask that I organized. :-)

Forecast calls for 80 degrees in hillsboro that weekend, so it should be perfect out there!

I'm enjoying driving around with no doors or windows!

I’ve Wanting to do Stick in the Nose again. Which is really close to Zigzag. Which is really close to the Trask :-) archers fire break would be a nice way to get there. Archers has many Black and double black offshoots :-)
