    April 22, 2012 - Oregon - Tillamook State Forest

A few friends and myself where going to make a run to browns camp this Sunday so as per forum rules here is the information.

    When: April 22, 2012 (Sunday)
Where to Meet: I'm thinking either the shell station on hwy 6, Browns camp or even rogers camp at the entrance not sure yet depends on who goes.
Meet Time: I'm not the early riser type so we usually meet about noon (could go a bit earlier depending on what people want to do) and wheel till we finish the trails or till it gets dark.

Permits Required:Oregon ATV Permit (available at the gas station)
    Communication:CB would be nice
Vehicle requirements: 32" MT or aggressive AT tires in decent condition. Some is lift required. Reliable, Maintained vehicle. Make sure you have front and rear tow (recovery) points. Have a look at the vid's posted from last week and expect much of the same. I like to make sure every one makes it through ok with minimal risk but by the same token I don't really wanna drag a Subaru through FB5 so bring something capable of what your going to ask it to do.

Here's the trail plan: Id like to run "University fire power" (its better than gravel roads) to "fire break 5" (all but the last section full of trees) then onto saddle up and maybe entrance and exit gates of airplane hill but these are short and optional (the actual "airplane hill" looks like one tough momo). Usually finish up on archers fire break to "rocky up hill" then on to "can opener" and "water fall" but those will be real tough this time of the year so maybe bypass those and run a bit more archers depending on conditions.

    Who's Coming: so far it's
    Myself
Colby (truck very similar to mine)
Al (stock height 85 toy w/ 33's and a locker)
    Todd (same as Al's truck)
    Fishstick
    2011tacobeav
    A10MileHusker (maybe?)
and hopefully a few others just let me know if your interested. Most of the run is negotiable depending on what people really want to do.

My Yota could use a shakedown run. It's similar to yours except uglier. I have a winch, shackles, straps, HiLift etc. I haven't put a CB in it yet. I guess I could grab the one off my TrailBlazer for the day.

I could meet you guys at the Shell station. I'd probably have my son (7) with me.

That would be cool.... Colby usually has his son with him as well but he's only 4. Lets see if we get any other takers before we set an exact time and meeting place. I forgot that I'd like to sneak in "rocky up hill" before we get to far into archers as that's always fun when its been wet.

I'd like to make it put there as well and hopefully bring a buddy who's got a "hoerunner" as he calls it

My first wheeling trip was last weekend so I'm thinking anything called can opener or waterfall will be a pass for me. Haha

Yeah you need to get week ends off Robb (at least Sunday) what are your current days off right now?

How does 11:00 at the shell station sound guys? I work 4:00 in the afternoon till 4:00 in the morning all week so anything much earlier than that and I'm a train wreck.

Looking like 5-8 trucks so it should be a good run. My name is Sean you can call me at 503-580-1077 if there are any delays we should be at the shell station right about 11:00 and we will probably hang there till 11:30 unless everyone is already there (will be 4 trucks coming from Salem). Let me know if anything needs clarification and we will get it straightened out.

Man I feel you! I;ve have to work Saturday afternoon/night and that always seems to put a dampener on my trips. Good news though! As of a few weeks from now I will no longer have to work saturdays!!! Waaahoo! Then I'll have Friday, Saturday, Sundays off work.
